These terms cover use of PuzzlePawn. Last updated 2026-10-18.

The site is free to use. You do not need an account. Do not use the site to attack the service, scrape it so heavily that it stops working for other people, or present the pages as your own product.

Puzzles, ratings, and opening lines come from the public sources named on the data sources page. A rating is a property of a puzzle in that source. A line is a sequence from the opening book. Neither one is advice about a game you are playing, and neither one is a promise that you will improve by a stated amount.

The site is provided as is. Practice positions can contain mistakes in the source data. When an ad script is enabled, the ads are provided by the ad network, not written as chess instruction.

If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the site.
