Pawn endgame

A pawn endgame is king and pawns only. The result comes from opposition, the square of a passed pawn, and whose king is in front of the pawns.

Before you push, count whether your king can reach the promotion square and whether the enemy king is in the square of the pawn. The endgame pages walk through those ideas.
