Anastasia's mate

Anastasia's mate is a knight and rook pattern. The knight covers the king's escape squares, and the rook delivers mate along the file, often the h-file or the a-file.

Look for a knight already sitting near the enemy king, then ask whether a rook can land on the open file beside the king.
